When viewing the Aggregated Dashboard in Axio360, the "Average Score Bechmarking" widget can help you understand how your cybersecurity maturity compares to other assessments in Axio. Two key scoring metrics make up this widget: Aggregate Maturity and Benchmark Maturity. Here's how each is calculated:
Aggregate Maturity
Definition:
The Aggregate Maturity score represents the average (mean) maturity across all assessments that the user can access.
How it works:
- Includes: All assessments the logged-in user owns or has access to via sharing.
- Completion Status: Assessments are included regardless of completion percentage.
- Filters Applied: All filter logic selected in the Aggregated Dashboard is applied, including tags.
- Calculation Method: A simple average (mean) of the maturity levels from each included assessment.
Example Use Case:
If you’re tracking progress across multiple business units or teams, this metric gives you a real-time snapshot of how your accessible assessments are performing overall, even if some are in progress.
Benchmark Maturity
Definition:
The Benchmark Maturity score reflects the average (mean) maturity across all completed, external-facing assessments using the selected model.
How it works:
- Includes: Only completed assessments that does not include any assessments labeled 'test' or internal.
- Filters Applied: Only the model filter selected in the Aggregated Dashboard is used (no additional filters).
- Calculation Method: A mean of all eligible assessment maturity levels for the selected model.
Example Use Case:
This metric is useful for comparing your organization’s maturity against peers or industry standards using the same model.
Above/Below Benchmark
Definition:
The Aggregate Maturity minus the Benchmark Maturity. If the value is positive, it's "Above Benchmark" and if the value is negative, it's "Below Benchmark."
