In some cases you may have completed several assessments already and now need to do a new one, but want to reuse for example, a NIST CSF Category or multiple NIST CSF Categories, not just from one assessment, but potentially from multiple assessments.
- To follow along with this How To article, it is optimal if you have Axio's E-Learning and have access to the assessments used in this article. If you do not have access to this E-Learning, please email your account executive.
- Use two source assessments:
- "HOL - Demo NIST CSF- Demo Corp Evaluation"
- "HOL - Demo NIST CSF - Gold Standard Targets".
- First go into the "HOL - Demo NIST CSF- Demo Corp Evaluation" assessment and publish the entire "Identify" category by selecting the button below:
- This will take you to the following:
- Select "Publish", and you will not see the following:
- Now go into the "HOL - Demo NIST CSF - Gold Standard Targets" assessment and publish the entire "Protect" category.
- Now you have two separate assessments with different categories published from each assessment.
- Create a new CSF assessment
- Name it "Global CSF Demo" and select save.
- Select the Global CSF Demo hyperlink in Assessments to get into the assessment itself.
- In the "Identify" category and select the org. icon on the top right and select "HOL - Demo Nist CSF - Demo Corp Evaluation 1" and then Publish.
- You will now see that the entire Identify category is taken from that assessment.
- Every single value has been inherited in that category on our new assessment.
- Doing the same thing in the Protect category, but selecting from the "HOL - Demo NIST-CSF -Gold Standard Targets- 1" followed by "Publish" will do the same, but for the Protect category, which is inheriting its values from this 2nd assessment.
- We have now combined values from categories in two different assessments into a single assessment. We can do this with as many categories from separate assessments as we want.
